Radio Transceiver - GDM1000 is a CMOS RF transceiver with a GFSK modem and frequency-hopping synthesizer for Bluetooth communications. ST Microelectronics announced intentions in December 1999 to collaborate with Ericsson in developing Bluetooth  products.

Rainbow - STw5288 - Single Chip Bluetooth Radio Transceiver allows an implementation with a minimum number of external components. Moreover, the chip is produced using ST’s advanced silicon-germanium (SiGe) bipolar-CMOS (BiCMOS) process allowing the integration on chip of a high-Q tank circuit for the radio synthesiser phaselocked loop (PLL).
High sensitivity and a high level of rejection of co-channel and adjacent channels of the STw5288 makes it particularly suitable for the highest bit rates of the Bluetooth standard. Low power consumption makes it especially suitable for mobile applications. The STw5288 supports the BlueRF functional receiver interface specification, allowing flexibility to interface with a wide range of baseband processors. The STw5288’s transmitter the device is suited to Class 1 applications where an external power amplifier extends the range beyond 10m.
